Peak Sports Injury and Rehab Clinic is run by a graduate Sports Rehabilitator (GSR). Sports Rehabilitators are accredited by the British Assocation of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT).
Whatever your musculoskeletal problem, we have the skills and expertise to assess and treat your problem to return you back to full fitness. We also offer Sports Massage for those clients who wish to reduce the risk of injury. You do not require a GP referral to arrange an appointment.
A Sports Rehabilitator has a number of roles. These include:
- Injury Prevention – A GSR can assess an athlete using pre-participation
screening and put in place strategies to minimize the risk of injury. They can also educate an athlete on the reasons behind the strategies - Injury Assessment – This is the use of clinical reasoning to look at all possible
injuries and use their expertise to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan. - First Aid – A GSR can implement both basic and advanced first-aid including CPR.
- Treatment and Rehabilitation – A GSR has a number of treatment techniques
to utilise during your session. These treatment along with the use of specially
chosen exercises will be used during your recovery.
